US Market Launch · Limited to 5 Regions
You know every EMS within 200 miles. We built the platform they've been asking for.
chipsconnect is a closed marketplace where OEM, CEM and EMS companies trade excess inventory directly with each other. No brokers. No dealers. No transaction fees. We're opening the US market and looking for a small number of industry professionals to lead it — region by region.
Verified companies only · Independent contractor, commission-based · Paid per company you onboard, not just on closes · Applications reviewed within 5 business days
Every plant in your network has two problems at once.
A shelf of excess inventory nobody can move. And a line down because one part is on 40-week lead time.
Somewhere within a day's drive, another manufacturer has exactly what's missing — and needs exactly what's sitting idle. Today that trade happens through brokers, at a markup, with no traceability, and often with parts nobody can fully vouch for.
chipsconnect removes the middle. Verified OEM, CEM and EMS companies list their real stock and trade with each other directly.
A closed network, not an open marketplace.
Verified members only
Every company is vetted before it sees a single line of inventory. Independent distributors and brokers are not admitted — by design.
Free to start, premium to scale
Joining and basic trading cost nothing. Members upload excess and shortage lists via Excel; our matching algorithm connects supply with demand. Companies that trade actively upgrade to Premium for the full feature set.
Quality control built in
The QC module gives members access to independent testing labs to verify goods before purchase.
Programming & packaging
The CPS module connects members to certified labs for PCB programming and sleeving services.
The Role
What a US Founding Partner actually does.
This is not a marketing or social media role. It's relationship-driven business development in a market you already know.
You would
- Introduce OEM, CEM and EMS companies in your region to the platform and get them onboarded with real inventory data
- Host or attend regional industry events, SMTA chapter meetings and plant visits
- Act as the local point of contact and feed field insight back to our product team in Europe
- Support members through their first transactions until the platform runs itself in your region
You would not
- Cold call from a purchased list
- Sell hardware, components or brokerage services
- Post content on our behalf or build a personal following
The profile that works.
This is you if
- 10+ years in electronics manufacturing — purchasing, supply chain, operations or sales
- You can name 20+ OEM/EMS/CEM companies in your region and reach a decision maker at most of them
- You are self-employed, a manufacturer's rep, a consultant, or between roles and building something of your own
- You're comfortable earning on performance rather than salary
This is not you if
- You work for or own part of an independent distributor or brokerage
- You're looking for a salaried position or a full-time job
- Your network is primarily online rather than on plant floors
- You're new to the electronics supply chain
Commercials
How you get paid.
This is an independent contractor engagement, compensated purely on performance — structured so that the groundwork pays too, not just the closes.
Onboarding bonus. A fixed payment for every verified company you bring on that uploads real inventory data and stays active for 60 days — whether or not they ever upgrade. Building density in your region is valuable to us in itself, and we pay for it directly.
Elevated first-year commission. When a company in your territory upgrades to Premium, you earn a premium rate on that subscription. Every Premium subscription that starts within your first twelve months as a partner carries the elevated rate for its full first year; subscriptions starting later carry the standard rate. The ramp-up period is when the work is hardest, so it's when we pay most.
Recurring renewals. A share of every renewal for as long as you're a partner and the member stays — and if you ever step away, renewal commission on the members you brought in continues for a further two years.
Add-on modules. QC and CPS subscriptions closed in your territory carry their own commission on top.
Territory: Founding Partners receive regional exclusivity — we appoint no other partner in your region — tied to an onboarding target over the first six months, measured in verified companies actively using the platform, not in revenue. We continue to market the platform directly and at industry events; companies that find us on their own in your territory still earn you a reduced commission.
What we provide: Platform training, sales and technical materials, a named contact at our office in Austria, verification handling for every company you introduce, and a defined 90-day plan. You cover your own travel, communications and event costs — as you would with any rep line.
What this means in practice
Your first job is getting companies onto the free tier and actually trading. That work earns the onboarding bonus once the company is verified and active for 60 days. Subscription revenue follows once members have seen the platform work and upgrade — and because renewals stack, a region built properly in year one pays for years after.
Exact rates are discussed in the first call. We share them openly with selected candidates rather than publishing them — but there are no caps, no draws against future earnings, and no fee or buy-in of any kind to become a partner.
Why Now
Early means something here.
chipsconnect is live and running in Europe with a verified member base and a working transaction flow. The US launch starts with a handful of regions, not a nationwide rollout — because a marketplace is only worth joining when the companies nearby are already on it.
The first partner in a region builds that density, and keeps it.
Four steps.
Apply
Complete the qualification form below. Ten minutes, mostly multiple choice.
Review
We assess fit and regional overlap. You hear back within five business days either way.
Call
A 45-minute conversation with the founders. Commercials, territory, expectations.
Onboard
Platform training, materials, and a defined 90-day plan.
Application
Apply for a region.
Before you start: this is a commission-based, independent contractor role — you invoice us and handle your own taxes. An existing network of working relationships in electronics manufacturing is a hard requirement. Applicants employed by or holding a stake in an independent distributor or component brokerage are not eligible — this protects the integrity of the platform for our members.
Frequently asked questions.
No. It's an independent contractor engagement. Most partners run it alongside existing rep lines or consulting work — though a strong region can grow into a full-time book.
Realistically 8–15 hours a week to build a region in the first six months. Less once density is established.
Yes, provided there's no conflict. We ask about existing lines in the application and discuss it openly on the call.
Not at first. Membership and basic trading are free for qualified companies, so your opening conversation is an invitation, not a pitch — and you're paid an onboarding bonus for every company you bring on and activate, regardless of whether they upgrade. Subscription commission comes later, when active members move to Premium.
You keep the onboarding bonuses you've earned, and you continue to receive renewal commission on the members you brought in for a further two years. We don't believe in forfeiture clauses.
Yes — we run marketing, attend trade shows and take inbound sign-ups. What exclusivity means is that we appoint no other partner in your region. Companies that reach us directly from your territory still earn you a reduced commission.
No. Travel, communications and event costs are yours, as with any rep line. There is no fee or buy-in on your side either — we provide training, materials, verification handling and a named contact at our office.
All five are currently open: Midwest, Texas / Southwest, Southeast, Northeast, West Coast. First qualified applicant per region takes it.
You need to understand how a purchasing department and a plant floor work. You don't need to be an engineer.
We'll say so directly and keep you on file. We'd rather tell you no in week one than string you along.
Five regions. One partner each.
If you've spent your career watching good inventory sit idle while lines go down, you already understand why this needs to exist.
